When concert promoter Wilbros Live announced the much-awaited Cody Simpson show in the Newport Performing Arts Theater via their social media accounts, there was a raucous uproar online emanating from Cody Simpson’s most loyal supporters in the Philippines, the Filipino Simpsonizers. Here’s what Cody’s tremendously excited fans have to say about the brilliant Australian singer-songwriter, his music, and his upcoming concert.

With his freshest album entitled “Free”, Cody showcases his creative freedom after becoming an independent artist under his own record label, Coast House. After watching videos of Cody’s live performances, Cody Simpson Philippines member, Paula, shares that she always gets chills when she hears the crowd sing along to every word. There is a profound relationship between Cody and his fans, and, as Paula describes, the venue is transformed into an emotion-filled dome where the fans are blanketed by the sound they have always loved.
“He’s one of those few artists who sound better live than on recorded songs,” reveals Cody fan, Margarette, who asserts that Cody is an exceptional guitarist with his insertion of improvised riffs and solos between songs. “Cody doesn’t need back-up vocals, dancers, and LED walls to shine. He just jams his heart out with his band [in] every single show he plays,” she adds.
