Megastar Sharon Cuneta received the OPM Lifetime Achievement Award, given by the MOR Pinoy Music Awards on July 11.
In her speech, Cuneta described the award as a “huge honor.” She began her music career at age 12, with the single “Tawag ng Pag-Ibig,” and earned her first big hit with the sophomore record, “Mr. DJ.”
In the 1980s, she scored hits with her movies’ theme songs: “Pangarap na Bituin,” “Bituing Walang Ningning” and “Sana’y Wala Nang Wakas.”
One of her latest CDs, “Isn’t It Romantic,” produced a follow-up, “Isn’t It Romantic Vol. 2.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
