Jiro Manio should return to acting—Inquirer.net poll

FORMER child actor Jiro Manio should consider going back to showbiz after going through rehabilitation, result of an INQUIRER.net poll showed.

The poll, which asked the question, “Would you like Jiro Manio to make a showbiz comeback?” was answered by 3,757 respondents.

Of the 3,757 total respondents, 38 percent said that they would love to see Jiro act again believing that he is a “brilliant” actor.

FEATURED STORIES

There are 1,000 respondents, or about 27 percent, who are ambivalent on the issue.

Meanwhile, 673 respondents or about 18 percent, said that the actor should be left alone.

Those who do not know Jiro accounted for 16 percent of the votes, or about 616 respondents.

The multi-awarded actor, who was known for his role in the movie “Magnifico,” was recently found at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 after he stayed there for days. He survived through the food and clothes given by airport employees and strangers.

When interviewed at the airport, Jiro was quoted as saying that he does not want to return to showbiz.

In a recent interview, Jiro’s foster father Andrew Manio, wished that the actor would be able to help himself and get his life on track. AJH
