“(She was) a promising young actress and a sweet and kind girl who always freely gave out hugs on the set. We have lost a dear friend in Julia. In our hearts, she will always be our bestie,” the program’s official statement read.
Julia played Aimee Chua, one of lead character Sophie’s (Janella Salvador) good friends in the series.
“We, the ‘Oh My G’ family, would like to extend our sincerest condolences and sympathies to the family of Julia Buencamino,” the program declared. “We are praying for her and her family’s strength in this trying time.”
Salvador and other cast members took to their social media pages to grieve Julia’s death.
“Rest in peace, bestie. May your soul be guided by G,” Salvador posted on Twitter.
“G” is the nickname they call God in the program.
On Instagram, Teen actor Marlo Mortel recalled that he and Julia “shared a lot of moments together and always had the longest hugs.”
Neophyte Maris Racal, meanwhile, on Twitter wished that Julia would rest in peace. IDL
