What’s next for Sharon?
Nida Flores, retired teacher: “After her judging stint on ‘Your Face Sounds Familiar,’ what will Sharon Cuneta do next? How about a talk show with Edu Manzano? They’re both intelligent and articulate, so they should do well when discussing show biz, politics and other relevant issues.”
Other notes:
Annette Lucido, televiewer: “When are those shouting matches in the guise of singing on musical-variety shows ever going to stop? I hope the singers get to watch themselves on replay, so they’ll know what the audience is feeling! Thanks goodness for the remote control.”
Predictable casting
Ace Serion, office employee: “The entries to this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival are predictable in terms of casting—Vic Sotto, Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai delas Alas and Vice Ganda. But, the list of filmmakers tapped to direct their starrers is something to look forward to, including Jose Javier Reyes, Jun Lana, Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas. If only for them, there’s still hope for the MMFF.”
Luz Jumaoas, housewife: “On ‘The Voice Kids,’ many of the auditionees are impressive. I got teary-eyed when the kids from Cebu and Bukidnon sang their hearts out. Our country is truly blessed with so many talented singers!”
