It was a heady celebration for The CompanY, which marked three decades in the music biz with a sold-out show at The Theatre, Solaire on Saturday night.

Moy Ortiz, the vocal group’s leader, recalled: “While doing the show, I constantly reminded myself to be in the moment, to be sincere, but also not to lose it and get caught in an ‘ugly cry’ episode. I had to keep it together because I cannot sing at all when I cry.”

The whole evening was “surreal,” he related.
