Closeted cutie follows heartthrob to new workplace
Over a year ago, Handsome Heartthrob caught the eye of Closeted Cutie during an out-of-town gig.
After some mild flirtation, phone digits were exchanged surreptitiously.
Unfortunately, HH and CC belonged to different studios and never crossed paths again.
Fast forward to the here and now.
CC has transferred to the same firm where HH works.
Was HH one of the incentives that inspired the big move?

Abangan.
The eccentrics
Isn’t it strange that those who leave a particular studio always end up in chismis columns?
Remember Feisty Thespian who was rumored to be a drunkard? FT allegedly requests for bottles of beer to get in the mood before shooting dramatic scenes.
Then, rumor-mongers portrayed Seasoned Performer as a kook who conversed with invisible, imaginary friends.
Are FT and SP’s new coworkers to blame?
Or are their former colleagues sour-graping and spreading the unflattering gossip?
Is this why Acclaimed Artist insists on working with trusted personnel on the set and rejects strangers who can expose eccentric behavior to the public?
Awkward
When Popular Star left the company, Vapid Frenemy unleashed Rabid Minion to concoct all sorts of intrigues.
RM was quite relentless … and vicious. After all, RM had VF as role model.
In an ironic twist of fate, PS ended up in old firm.
Guess who was among those waiting in line to welcome PS back? No less than RM led the cheering squad.
Rated A for awkward.
Tupperware party, anyone?
Unlikely rivals
Ambitious Star wasn’t shy about coveting a certain dubious award.
As luck would have it, Flamboyant Celeb was also in the running for the same honor.
Who could have predicted that AS and FC would end up unlikely rivals in the same tilt?
(Well, to be honest, AS and FC share some things in common—including choice of playmates.)
Who would prevail in the end?
Both AS and FC are notorious shopaholics, snapping up trophies left and right.
Turned out AS had an unlimited expense account this time.
Better luck next time, FC.
Repeat offender
From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:
Once again Playboy Personality and Glamorous Wife almost called it quits. GW caught PP fooling around with another woman.
It was not PP’s first offense, nor would it be the last.
But PP, on bended knee, begged for another chance. GW reluctantly played martyr, hoping PP would change his ways.
Alas, PP strayed once again. GW was livid.
PP, however, smooth-talked his way out of trouble for the nth time. As they say: You can’t teach old philanderers new tricks.
Dream champs
A year after topping the first McJim Classic Leather “Dreams Get Real: The Search for the Next OPM Star,” Fifth Dynamics, JBK, and Neo Domingo are now very active in the music scene.
Boyband JBK (composed of Joshua Bulot, Bryan del Rosario, and Kim Lawrenz Ordonio) recorded the R&B-infused ballad, “Anong Meron Ka.”
Fifth Dynamics (composed of former “The Voice of the Philippines” contestant Mark Cordovales and members John Peterson Leyva, Wence Escabas, Aldrin Condat and Jhay Santos) has released two singles, “Anyare” and “Pogi Kame.” “Before, we used to listen to our fave bands on the radio, but now we hear our own songs,” said Cordovales.
The third winner Domingo’s debut single “Pagbigyan Mo Na” was named the Most Wanted Song of 97.1 Barangay LS FM.
His follow-up single “Kaching-Kaching,” featuring fellow McJim champ Fifth Dynamics, was included in the soundtrack of the GMA 7 sitcom, “Ismol Family”.
The champs are finishing their debut albums, produced by Jonathan Ong of SonicState Studio.
McJim will soon launch the second edition of “Dreams Get Real: The Search for the Next OPM Star,” open to all unsigned male and female Filipino solo artists, ages 15 to 35 years old.
Aspirants need to submit a video recording or a YouTube link of a performance, with the application form. Deadline is May 31.

Top of the Talk Shows
For those who missed last weekend’s “Startalk” on GMA 7 (and why we are moved, if we are moved):
Dennis Trillo on bumping into ex-girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado in Balesin: “Aksidente… Kwentuhan, catch-up…. Inaayos lang ’yung pagkakaibigan namin.” (That thing called reunion ba ang peg?)
Dennis, asked if getting back with Jennylyn is a possibility: “Lahat naman ’yan posible… Sa ngayon ’di naman kami nagmamadali.” (Haste makes waste. )
Mark Bautista on his father suffering a stroke: “Kahit sabihin kong sobrang thankful ako sa mga blessings … life will never be perfect … Pero ’di mo puwedeng kwestiyunin si God… Kaya tinatanggap ko siya as it is.” (Prayers for his speedy recovery.)
Louise de los Reyes on a woman who is claiming that she is the actress’ real mother: “Walang patlang para maisingit ko ’yung mga kuwento niya… Parang ang daming questions, pero ang labo lang. (Sounds family, este, familiar…)
Kylie Padilla, asked if she wants to have a baby: “Seventeen pa lang ako gusto ko nang magka-baby. Gusto ko best friend ang tingin niya sa ’kin… Kung wala ako sa show biz, baka may baby na ako.” (Wait lang, hija. Papa Robin will surely not approve. )
Maegan Aguilar on her “special friendship” with a much older musician: “He’s very charming, funny… And that’s important. Kahawig siya ni John Lennon. Mahusay siyang gitarista at arranger.” (Again, you’re no longer 16. Unlike you-know-who.)
