Filipino joins Nantes workshop

Joseph Israel Laban’s coming project as producer is included in the Nantes Festival of Three Continents-Taipei Produire au Sud Workshop. Entitled “Raining Roses,” the film will be directed by Taiwan’s Rina Tsou. “Rina’s mom is originally from the Philippines. I met Rina at the Berlinale last February,” Laban told the Inquirer. The workshop will be held from July 28 to 31 in Taipei and “aims to familiarize participants with a variety of important tools and international coproduction techniques.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
