ABS-CBN, producer of the phenomenally popular drama series “Forevemore,” has assumed a wait-and-see stance on the ordered discontinuation by the Court of Appeals of the program’s production at Sitio Pungayan in Tuba, Benguet.

ABS-CBN Corporate Communication officer-in-charge Kane Choa said “we have not yet received any formal communication from the office of the mayor.” Scenes in “Forevermore” that features the fictional community Sitio La Presa are shot in Pungayan.

The CA recently issued a Writ of Kalikasan ordering Tuba mayor Florencio Bentrez to stop people from “settling, farming, mining, and even filming tele-serye (TV program)” at the Mt. Sto. Tomas forest reservation. The writ was requested by residents of Tuba and neighboring areas after the discovery of an illegal road excavation in 2014 on Mt. Cabuyao, also in Tuba.

“Forevermore,” which was launched in October 2014, will air its final episode on May 22.
