/ 11:05 PM April 26, 2015

Singer Joey Albert’s March 27 surgery, part of her treatment for colon cancer, went well. The following day, daughter Trixie Pacis posted the good news on Instagram: “Surgery was a success. Mama Bear is getting much-needed rest.” On April 19, the singer posted a message of gratitude on Facebook: “Thank you for your prayers and concern. I may not be able to answer each message, but I read each one… Your prayers and kind messages brought me so much joy, cheer and hope through these trying times. I am so blessed to have you all. God bless you… for your love and support.”

In another post, Albert, who is based in Canada, said: “After coming home from second hospitalization… I’m a little better every day. It must be all your prayers!” In a later post, she said: “I’m going to see my doctor today for first follow-up. Wish me luck.” Bayani San Diego Jr.
