From 37 contestants, only 16 remained. And like any other competition, the fate of the contestants falls in the hands of the audience members. As Venus shares, “The show is filled with the unexpected. Who knows, it might be your neighbor or friend that you’ll be watching.” These representatives of their home towns, cities, provinces, and regions need all the help they can get, as it would bring them a step closer to fulfilling their dreams.

VOTING

Voting could be done through SMS, the RisingStars website (www.risingstars.ph), and the mobile app, available for free via the Google Play store. The combined number of votes from online, mobile app and SMS will be tallied to create an audience ranking for the finalists. This would be combined with the jury scores that would result in the final ranking at the end of each episode. Aside from helping your favorite contestant make it through, you could also win prizes for being an active voter.

The voting period starts as early as Thursday, April 23 at 6 AM. Users are allowed to cast one vote per 30-minute time period until Saturday, 10 PM, when the live show starts. From here, they will be allowed one vote every 10 minutes up until the last song is performed. The most active voters stand to win weekly prizes as well.

As the competition heats up, RisingStars continues its unparalleled audience participation and interaction by taking it to the next level. Everyone is still given the chance to become part of the show, even at the very last minute.
