BOCAUE, Philippines–Despite the detestable excess of sun rays, fans of different fandoms braved the sweltering heat just to see their beloved bias groups, whether by commuting or availing the shuttle tickets to the Philippine Arena last Sunday.

Known to be early birds for concerts, K-pop fans flocked the venue hours before the show to distribute fan-made banners, practice fan chants and enjoy other pre-concert activities set up outside the arena.

The “Best of Best K-pop” was a concert like no other, bringing to the country two of K-pop’s top tier groups, Girls’ Generation and Super Junior. Performing alongside the two premium groups were rising K-pop stars Red Velvet, a younger girl group under the same label with Girls’ Generation and Super Junior, and charismatic guest group BtoB.
