Black sheep turns out to be a good guy
Here’s a touching story that’s perfect for this season of reflection: Everyone thought Gifted Thespian, who often ran afoul of the law, was the black sheep of the family. In the end, GT turned out to be the good guy compared with Fair-haired Sibling.
The test came when Beleaguered Relative fell on hard times. FS abandoned BR, but GT extended much-needed assistance.
Ultimately, FS betrayed not only the clan, but Close Buddy as well.
Who knew that FS, who seemed stable and kind, could not be relied on?
Root of all evil
It’s true what they say about money being the root of all evil. It recently caused bitter enmity between Controversial
Star and Bold Relations.
According to the grapevine, BR1 is bristling because CS decided not to turn over a hefty sum. BR2 is likewise badmouthing CS, who refused to pay for an expensive acquisition.
BR 1 and 2 have been relentless in stirring a hornet’s nest of intrigues, however. Perhaps the goal is to push CS over the edge.
Unfortunately for them, CS is a fighter and shows no signs of being cowed. CS is raring to unleash a barrage of family secrets in retaliation.
Family discord, too
Popular Icon is despondent, having incurred the ire of Beloved Kin over some minor infraction.
PI apparently caught erring underlings red-handed and complained to BK, who inexplicably got offended and broke ties with PI, who was inconsolable, if not perplexed, by the strange reaction.
PI is hurting badly; BK is close to her heart.
Strong-willed Luminary is the target of incessant attacks spearheaded by Malicious Frenemies.
After finding out about MFs’ schemes, SL threw them out of the company. MFs teamed up with Disgruntled Enemy, who proceeded to harass SL.
Moles suspect that DE is in cahoots with Devious Relative, who tried to pull a fast one on SL, too.
DE and the MFs turned to Spiteful Insider for additional ammunition.
SI has since launched a nasty hate campaign against SL. Big bucks are involved, and SI couldn’t resist the prospect of a windfall.
Talk about an unholy alliance.

“Home,” which covers her childhood and early years in show business. The next book, currently untitled, begins in the 1960s and takes readers through her next three decades, including her many hit films and her marriage to director Blake Edwards.
The new book is scheduled for September 2017. Andrews recently helped celebrate the 50th anniversary of “The Sound of Music,” one of the most popular movies of all time. AP
Joni Mitchell taken ill
LOS ANGELES—Singer Joni Mitchell has been taken ill.
Mitchell’s website and Twitter account reported on Tuesday night that she was in the hospital, but gave no details.
Los Angeles fire officials say paramedics answered an afternoon emergency call in Bel Air, where Mitchell lives, and took a patient to the hospital.
The 71-year-old singer-songwriter told Billboard magazine in December that she has a rare skin condition, Morgellons disease, which prevents her from performing. Still, she released a career-spanning four-disc box set last year and appeared at Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy party in February.
Mitchell has received eight Grammy Awards, including a lifetime achievement award in 2002. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997. AP
Kuya Kim bounces back
TV host-athlete Kim Atienza says he owes his healthy physique to a good balance of work, exercise and recreation. “After two major illnesses, I have learned to live and love life by making sure that I am physically fit, doing well [professionally], and enjoying precious moments with my family,” he says.
Kuya Kim recently signed up as brand ambassador for Regent Foods Corp. Ricky See, CEO, says Regent promotes healthy living with its products, and is “delighted” to have Kim on board. “He embodies an active and healthy lifestyle.”
Mean girl attacks
From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:
Who knew Sweet Star could be such a meanie? At a glitzy event, SS snubbed a bunch of newbies. SS clearly didn’t want to hobnob with them. Her face was scrunched up in a perma-scowl throughout the evening.
In another gathering, the neophytes steered clear of SS, who strangely felt slighted. She complained to their common handlers about the young ones’ “bad manners.” Alas, the kids were scolded for SS’ rudeness.
