Ai-Ai delas Alas wishes PH the best

MANILA, Philippines—Amid the socio-political turmoils that continue to stress out every Filipino here and abroad, comedian-actress Ai-Ai delas Alas wishes our leaders well and hopes everything will turn out alright for the country.

“Medyo magulo at lahat tayo ay may kanya kanyang opinion. Ang wish ko ay maging maaayos na ang Pilipinas sa mga susunod na taon (It’s kinda messed up right now and all of us have our own opinions. My only wish is for our country to be alright in the next few years),” she told a select group of entertainment press on Wednesday.

She was promoting her pre-Valentine show titled “Ai Heart Papa,” happening at the Theatre of the Solaire Resorts & Casino on February 12 with guests Aljur Abrenica and JC de Vera.

Delas Alas, however, refused to comment on Kris Aquino when asked by some media people on what advice she could give to the President’s youngest sister.

Delas Alas had a falling out with Kris in recent years but they reportedly patched things up during the wedding of Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes on December 30, 2014. Kris is again caught in a controversy, this time involving her brother, President Benigno Aquino III and the bungled military operation down south that caused the death of 44 elite cops.

Delas Alas said she’d rather talk about her show and what she can contribute to make her fellow countrymen happy.

“There are so many surprises in the show. My children will also sing. Watch na lang po kayo para di kayo ma-stress. Let’s make love not war,” she said with a smile.

Her other guests are Faith Cuneta, G Force Dancers, DJ David Ardiente, Rommel Chika and Beki Belo.

“You will laugh and forget your problems, promise,” she said.

Delas Alas added she’s thankful to God her love life is going well. She’s involved with a much younger man.

As a mother she said her three children, all grown-ups, are the ones who consistently make her happy.

Delas Alas holds a mass communications degree from Far Eastern University and a special course on public administration from the University of the Philippines in Diliman.

Asked if she has plans of going into politics in the future she readily answered in the negative. “No, no, no (politics). I just want to study, to learn something new, that’s all,” she said, again with her infectious smile.
