Aquino was absent at the arrival honors on Thursday but attended the necrological services at Camp Bagong Diwa on Friday morning. Many netizens criticized him for choosing to attend the inauguration of a car plant in Laguna instead of going to Villamor Airbase to sympathize with the families of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Special Action Force (SAF) members killed while attempting to arrest terrorists in Mamasapano town, Maguindanao.
