Chef reveals ‘Rings’ role offer

LONDON—British celebrity chef Jamie Oliver said he was offered the role of a hobbit in “Lord of the Rings” but rejected the chance. Oliver told US actress Kate Hudson about the deal on “Jamie and Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast,” his new Channel 4 show: “The exec producer [called] and asked, did I want to cook for [director] Peter Jackson’s birthday… and if I did, they would fly me over and I could be a hobbit in the film.” AFP
