Holiday Cheer: Lance Raymundo, Singer-actor
My family has been celebrating Christmas the same way since I was born. Our home is the official venue for the clan party. Relatives start arriving at 9 p.m. We have dinner and we catch up on each other’s lives. When the clock strikes 12, we gather near the Christmas tree to exchange presents. Our tree is decorated with green, red and gold ornaments and poinsettias. It’s simple, traditional and filled with love.
This is one holiday season I thought I would no longer get to see after a near-fatal gym accident last March. (My face was crushed by a 80-pound barbell.) So this year’s celebrations are extra-special.
I feel very lucky. I received countless letters of support from friends and total strangers. It changed my perspective on life.
I bask in the warm glow of all the beautiful smiles I see around me. Bayani San Diego Jr.
