Robert Vergara, the president of the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), showed the core group of Bulong Pulungan at Sofitel the institution’s accomplishments, from January to November 2014.

First is the Special Assistance Package for Calamities, which includes its Enhanced Emergency Loan Program for members living in areas severely damaged by Supertyphoon “Yolanda.”

In the Loan Moratorium Program, you’ll enjoy deferred monthly amortization for loans without interest and penalties. The Home Emergency Loan Program is a one-time special loan for active members working or residing in worst-hit calamity areas.

According to Vergara, GSIS earned P1.1 billion from sales of nonperforming assets. Moreover, its 2014 Arta-RCS average rating, covering 48 branch offices, improved from 73.82 percent in 2012 to 92 percent the following year.

And, for the third time in a row, COA gave the agency’s financial statements an “unqualified opinion,” which means that all aspects of its financial records are presented fairly.
