MANILA, Philippines— Actor Derek Ramsay wants the feud with his estranged wife Mary Christine Jolly be resolved and his right to be a father to his son be recognized.
“Of course. I want my son Austin to be with me,” Ramsay said in an interview with the Inquirer.
His estranged wife filed a complaint against him after allegedly neglecting his obligations as a father to their now 11-year-old son.
In the past three years, he said he has seen his son four times.
Amid the controversies surrounding him, the actor thanked his family and friends for their support.
He, however, lamented that her ex-girlfriend Angelica Panganiban was being dragged into the controversy.
Jolly filed concubinage complaint against Ramsay and Panganiban at the Paranaque Prosecutor’s Office on October 8.
“I apologize that her name has been dragged in. I dont see the reason why,” he said citing he has already reached out to her.
Ramsay and Panganiban were a couple for six years before they broke up in 2012.
Despite this scandal hounding his personal career, the TV-host said said he remains focus on his career.
“Life is full of trials but I have to continue to do my job. This is my job. This is my responsibility to my network,” he said.
He said he just needs to continue to do his work as an actor.
“I had no complain about my career my carrer is great. I dont have any regrets. I am very very happy,” he said.
