The International Emmy Awards are given by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences to recognize excellence in television produced outside of the United States. This year’s awards will be presented to the winners on November 24 at the New York Hilton Hotel.

“My Husband’s Lover” was the top-rating primetime soap opera in 2013 produced and aired on GMA 7.

More than a story about homosexuality, it is a modern day love triangle among a married gay man, his wife and his gay lover.

The soap was so popular its lead actors-onscreen lovers Dennis Trillo and Tom Rodriguez, spawned the love team “Tom-Den”.
