MANILA, Philippines – The release order for model Deniece Cornejo has been signed by the Taguig City regional trial court (RTC), a radio report said.

Prosecutor Archimedes Manabat signed the order Thursday morning, the report said.

On Wednesday, Cornejo posted a P500, 000 bail before the Pasig RTC after it granted on Monday her bail petition in connection with the serious illegal detention case filed by TV host-actor Ferdinand “Vhong” Navarro.

Navarro claimed that Cornejo, Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz were involved in a mauling incident that left him badly injured in January.

Cornejo is expected to be released from her detention cell at Camp Crame in Quezon City anytime this Thursday as soon as the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippine National Police (PNP) received the order.
