Two Filipinos won at the recently concluded 9th Harlem International Film Festival, held in New York.
According to producer Dennis Evangelista, Joel Lamangan won best film for “Kamkam (Greed),” while Allen Dizon won best actor for Jason Paul Laxamana’s “Magkakabaung (The Coffin Maker).”
Dizon, who also top-bills “Kamkam,” and Lamangan were in New York to receive their citations. Bayani San Diego Jr.
