Escudero says no wedding date, venue yet

MANILA, Philippines – Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero broke his silence on Tuesday over reports that his planned wedding with actress Heart Evangelista had caused the cancellation of another wedding in an exclusive resort in Baselin Island in Quezon province.

“I actually don’t understand why there’s an issue… In our part, we haven’t decided on a date and a venue yet, so why are we being dragged in this issue?” Escudero said when asked about the reports.

“We don’t have a final decision yet. Like I said, if they have an issue, they should talk to the [Balesin] management. But in our part, we haven’t decided yet,” he said.

A certain Ria Gamboa posted on Facebook that her friend’s “tediously planned Balesin wedding was just bumped off because as celebrity-politician couple wanted their on the same day.”

“Wtf Bobby Ongpin and Alphaland?! Yes I’m calling you out, this is so not cool!!” Gamboa added in her post.

While the Facebook post did not identify the couple, some people suspected that Gamboa was referring to Escudero and Evangelista.

Escudero admitted that they have started looking for possible venue but stressed that they have not decided yet the final date of their wedding.
