DEREK Ramsay trusts his mom when it comes to women.

I cornered ever-so-hot Derek Ramsay for a quickie … Q & A.

Aside from Andoy Ranay’s “Trophy Wife,” he is in the cast of Mike Tuviera’s Cinemalaya film, “The Janitor.”

Rita in recovery

My heart goes out to Rita Avila. She was rushed to the hospital because of an unfortunate incident during a shoot.

Her costar was being too close for comfort and Rita felt violated. Although he has apologized, the harm has been done. He should read a book on behaving like a gentleman.

Rita is recuperating at home. Her hubby, director Erick Reyes, is giving her all the TLC she needs.

Get well soon, sis.

Here’s Rita’s story:

“In the scene, I am in bed. I portray a paralyzed woman. My costar was seated on the bed; he’s supposed to act like he’s drunk and in a foul mood. He hit my leg by accident, bruising it. He uttered lewd remarks that made me feel uncomfortable. I was trying to be polite until I could no longer take it.

“The doctor said my illness stemmed from stress. A vein ruptured;  I lost a lot of blood and needed transfusion. I now have three metal clips in my body.”

All about my mom

AUTHOR says mom Inday Badiday is her best credential.

Aug. 6 will forever be a self-declared holiday for me. It is the birth anniversary of my SuperwoMOM, Inday Badiday. I am taking  time off from my frenzied schedule to celebrate her incredible legacy.

I am not at liberty to divulge her age; Mommy always said she was  “ageless.” Until her last day on earth, she refused to reveal her age. Even on her tombstone, there is no year of birth.

Allow me to share some of her words of wisdom, which I fondly call “Inday Badidayisms.”

Happy birth anniversary, Mommy!  Thank you for all the lessons, moments and memories. You were the gift that I was born with. Being your daughter will always be my best credential.

Sa gusot, may lusot.

Go with the winners.

Don’t keep track of your competitors. Do your own thing. If you look their way, they may overtake you.

Observe the way a guy treats his mom. That’s how he will treat you.

Mag-ingat sa taong ’di mo kilala. Pero mas mag-ingat sa taong kilala mo na.

Don’t end  a relationship when you’re already devastated. End it while you have some dignity left.

At first you will work more and be paid less. But if you love what you do, you will eventually work less and be paid more.

Don’t cry over someone who’s not crying over you.
