ALONZO. Topbills “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon.”

Bea Alonzo started in show business when she was 15 and grew up before our eyes. She recalls, “In my early roles, I played an adult right away. I relied on my directors to help me get the right emotions, because I was so young.”

She later played an ugly duckling in “Betty La Fea,” which was an enjoyable character for her. But, her latest roles in “Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon” are a double challenge for Bea, because the characters of Rose and Emmanuelle have different personalities.

The actress feels blessed in all aspects of her life—from her career and family to her love life. She has stopped searching for her British father, and is happy with boyfriend Zanjoe Marudo. She discloses, “I’m afraid that my father would reject me if I did find him. I feel complete with the family I have now. I appreciate what I have with Zanjoe.

“When I was shooting ‘She’s the One,’ I didn’t see Zanjoe for two months—and we missed each other very much. The time I spent away from him strengthened our relationship. He’s very sweet, and he trusts me. We reassure each other every day. He’d make a perfect husband. He makes me happy!”
