Singer Karylle, whose husband Yael Yuzon wrote for her the children’s book “Watership and Joi,” on how she has become an advocate of reading to kids: “I didn’t get to read a lot of books when I was young. Now, I collect them. Through them, I get to understand other cultures. I love the idea of kids seated in a circle, listening to a reading. I hope more of them will join in reading sessions and one day write their own books.” Marinel R. Cruz
