Tickets to second night of 1D concert: ‘Wait for further announcements’

MANILA, Philippines – Fans itching to get their hands to tickets to the second night of One Direction’s (a.k.a. 1D) concert at SM Mall of Asia Arena will have to “wait for further announcements” from Ovation Productions.

“We’re still getting organized,” Ovation honcho Renen de Guia, the concert’s promoter, told Inquirer by phone Sunday, even as he confirmed that the show has been extended for one more night on March 22, 2015. Apparently De Guia wanted to avoid more confusion and frustration, especially from 1D’s young Filipino fans.

Tickets to the concert’s first night, scheduled on March 21, 2015, sold out in about an hour last Friday, May 23, due to a mad rush from the fans, who have been anticipating the British-Irish boy band’s debut live performance in the Philippines.
