One Direction concert promoter: Nobody was turned away

One Direction

MANILA, Philippines—Ovation Productions honcho Renen de Guia, promoter of One Direction’s Manila concert, said almost everyone who took pains lining up for hours last Friday to buy advance tickets to the British-Irish boy band’s Mall of Asia Arena show next year, did not go home empty-handed.

“Nobody was turned away,” De Guia told Inquirer, adding that those who wanted VIP tickets, which were the first to be sold out, settled for the other seat sections.

But the others who couldn’t be appeased eventually agreed to sign up for a waiting list–in case there would be a second show after the first one which is scheduled on March 25, 2015.

As for the chances of a second date, De Guia paused before saying that nothing has been confirmed at this point, although he’s upbeat on the possibility.
