Coco Martin: I’m not the father of Katherine Luna’s son

MANILA, Philippines — Before he became the Prince of Drama, he was a restaurant waiter making it into some indie films and trying to make it big, however, controversy already asked for its bill.

Coco Martin and Katherine Luna were co-stars in the critically-acclaimed Brillante Mendoza film “Masahista” (The Masseur) in 2005 and it was also around this time when the then budding actress got pregnant.

Martin admitted that something happened between him and Luna but maintained that they did not have a relationship.

“Something happened, but we did not live together,” Martin said in a television interview aired on ABS-CBN Sunday. “We were just together in the movie…We did not have a relationship.”

Through Luna’s insistence, the future star supported the child as if he was his own.

Recently, according to Martin’s interview, he wanted to get the custody of the child so as to provide him with everything that he needs.

Still according to the interview, Biboy Arboleda, Martin’s manager, advised the TV/movie star to go through the legal process and have the child undergo a DNA test before he could get his guardianship.

But the test came out negative, according to Martin.

“I wanted to take responsibility of the child because the damage has been done and he has nothing to do with the situation.”
