Tip for girls who fancy Vic Sotto

/ 09:07 PM May 16, 2011

SAM PINTO laughs off rumors linking her to Vic Sotto. “I was surprised to hear that,” she says. “Bossing is nice naman. That’s it. Hahaha… Maybe I’ll be his leading lady after my team-up with Senator Bong (Revilla).” Vic is also being linked to a flight stewardess. I remember teasing his ex-wife, Dina Bonnevie, that they could end up back together. “Ligawan niya muna ako uli,” quipped Ms D. “I told one girl linked to Vic some years back, ‘Kung type mo si Vic ’wag mo habulin.’ Hahaha.” Bewitched, estranged and bewildering!

Reunion

Sitti found a missing piece of herself when she finally met her biological dad in Mindanao. “He’s Muslim. We are from Mapun, Tawi-Tawi,” she told me. “I never saw my dad before, but I grew up in a healthy family environment. But one day it hit me—I should meet my dad! I took the next flight out with my mom, who supported my decision.”

How did the reunion go? “I asked him a lot of questions and he explained many things to me. We talked and bonded for two days. Now I know that I got my being cooky from him.” How does she feel now? “That allowed me to make sense of things,” she said. “The pieces of my life that were lost have now been found. There are some events that remain unclear but to finally meet the one person I can truly call Papa feels nice.”

FEATURED STORIES

What’s her song for her dad? “‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart.’ This new relationship, though based on love, is in a precarious situation and utmost care should be given to it.” Now that she’s a Daddy’s Girl, Sitti’s state of mind is as serene as her music.

Fatherhood

Speaking of fatherhood, Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez can hardly contain their excitement for the coming baby. “Fatherhood is a real blessing,” Ogie says, beaming.

“I am thankful that I have been given another chance to love one more child.”
Do they already have names to choose from? “None yet,” he says “I would not mind knowing the gender before Reg gives birth, so we can decide on the name.”
What does Reg crave? “It’s her 11th week of pregnancy. She eats mostly healthy stuff.” Reg and Ogie’s biggest craving will always be each other.
