Chito Miranda stages elaborate wedding proposal to Neri Naig

MANILA, Philippines—A new video of singer Chito Miranda and actress Neri Naig is circulating. This time, though, it will not scandalize the viewers, but tug at their heartstrings.
Naig thought it was just another acting job.
She was asked to star in a music video and had spent the day posing for the camera when the words “Ako na siguro and pinaka swerteng lalake sa buong Cavite” were flashed on a projector screen.
(I am probably the luckiest man in Cavite.)
A confused Naig turned around, taking the hint that something else was happening.
Her boyfriend Miranda then came out from the shadows and handed her a colorful bouquet of flowers.
In the video that was posted by Miranda in his YouTube account, Naig was surprised and cried for joy.
The couple hugged and kissed as they watched on the screen photos of them together.
These were followed by the words “dahil mapapangasawa ko yung pinakamagandang babae sa Eastwood…kung papayag siya?”
(Because I will marry the most beautiful woman in Eastwood…if she would allow it?)
At that point, Miranda knelt down on one knee and broke down in tears.
“Will you marry me, baby?” he asked.
“Of course, yes!” Naig answered.
A fireworks display capped the proposal.
Miranda posted a link of the YouTube video on his Twitter account with the caption “This is how I proposed to my girlfriend, Neri…she said YES!!! :)
TV host Bianca Gonzalez, who had her share of a surprise proposal from boyfriend basketball player JC Intal at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport last March, tweeted the singer, “Congratulations, Sir!! It really IS the year of loooove! :) Enjoy Cloud 9!!”
Last year, Miranda and Naig were embroiled in a controversy when their intimate videos circulated online. Despite the scandal, the two were able to rebound on their careers and their relationship remained strong.
