Report: Deniece Cornejo pleads not guilty

MANILA, Philippines—Model Deniece Cornejo on Thursday pleaded not guilty on the grave coercion case filed against her by actor-host Vhong Navarro, a radio report said.

Bernice Lee, the sister of co-accused Cedric Lee, also entered a not guilty plea on the same charge.

Cornejo appeared at the Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court (MTC) Thursday morning, two days after the arraignment of the serious illegal detention case also filed by Navarro against her and five others.

The Taguig MTC has also set on June 2 the mediation process between Navarro and the accused in the grave coercion case.

Cornejo had accused Navarro of rape, which the actor-host has denied. The charge has since been dismissed.
