Evaristo elected president of Manila Rotary

EVARISTO (third from left) was recently honored with a luncheon by former Speaker of the House Joe de Venecia and Rep. Gina de Venecia, at their residence in Forbes Park, Makati. The luncheon was attended by fellow RCM members led by current president Rudy Bediones (right).

Frank Evaristo has been elected as the 95th president of the Rotary Club of Manila (RCM), First in Asia, for Year 2014-2015, the theme of which is “Light Up Rotary.” He will pursue the annual flagship projects of the Rotary Club of Manila such as the Journalism, Tourism and Tower Awards, as well as the Yolanda Rehabilitation Project, which provides motorized bancas to benefit displaced fishermen in affected areas of Panay, Capiz, and Tacloban, Leyte.

Advocacies

Frank was raised in Manila and was given a well-rounded outlook and a common touch that serves him well today in his many advocacies.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree from Letran University, he received his masters in business administration from Fordham University and launched a successful career in the corporate world of Manhattan. But his heart was always set on returning home and applying his talents, experience and network of international contacts to help advance Philippine business.

For the past 10 years, he has been president of the Alay Lakad Foundation Inc. (Alfi) a nonprofit organization that raises funds for the benefit of the out-of-school youth through its annual “walk for cause” event. More than 500,000 people participate every year.
