Kris Aquino backtracks, says Herbert Bautista and she are ‘best friends’

MANILA, Philippines— “We are not a couple but we are best of friends.”

This was Kris Aquino’s recent post on her Instagram account clearing numerous speculations about her alleged romantic affair—or the end thereof—with Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista.

Aquino thanked Bautista for bringing her energy drinks on the same day that she was rushed to the hospital because of dehydration.

She also addressed Bautista quoting a line from her favorite song.

“May I quote my favorite song? ‘Thanks to you for teaching me how to live, putting things in perspective. Teaching me how to give, and how to take, no mistake…’ I grew up a lot this 2014 & he had a big role in what I am today. #noregrets #stillbelieveinlove #someday GOOD NIGHT.”

Earlier this April, Aquino bared she that she was dating Bautista, calling their relationship, “a work in progress.”

But on Monday, the presidential sister surprised everyone with her new short hairstyle making netizens believed Aquino was going through a tough time, like a romantic break-up, citing it is a common reaction for people going through heartaches to get a haircut.
