No one is a lost cause. In Vedic literature, the wise sage Rupa Goswami says that hopelessness is detrimental to one’s spiritual life. We should never feel hopeless—here are some reasons why:

We are spiritual beings who are happy and knowledgeable by nature. Only in the material dimension are we covered with illusion, which leads to ignorance and suffering. We need to uncover our real nature so that we can once again experience our happy nature.

We are loved by our Supreme Friend unconditionally. Our rightful place is with Him.
