Two PH films win in Osaka

Two Filipino filmmakers topped the Osaka Asian Film Festival concluded on Sunday. Siege Ledesma’s “Shift” was Grand Prix (best picture) winner; Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo’s “Ang Huling Cha-Cha ni Anita” won Special Mention. Jury head Eugene Domingo said “Shift” won for “simplicity, honesty and integrity in pushing boundaries.” “Cha-Cha” is a product of Cine Filipino 2013; “Shift,” of Cinema One. Bayani San Diego Jr.
