Sweet Star has a sour side! SS was furious when Matinee Idol dumped her for Glitzy Socialite. To get even, SS hooked up with Clueless Heartthrob, who scampered away after being bullied by SS’ relatives.
A pity, since SS’ affection for CH was real. SS hasn’t learned her lesson and is up to her old tricks. Still reeling from another heartbreak, this time courtesy of Gorgeous Actor, SS found solace in the arms of Sporty Hunk.
Once again, SH incurred the ire of SS’ kin. Are SH’s days numbered, predictably?
Stalking me softly
Hunky Cutie didn’t see it coming. Well-bred HC tends to be too amiable and accommodating—even toward giddy groupies.
As such, HC proved to be the perfect prey for Delusional Insider. In DI’s warped mind, HC is his lover. As usual, HC was too nice to shoot down DI’s illusions, but the stalker pushed it a bit too far.
In the middle of the night, DI called HC, begging for a “date.”
DI sounded delirious, feverish. HC was spooked.
Madame Curie
A taxi driver thought he hit the jackpot when he got Glamorous Celeb as passenger. GC’s car had conked out that day, that’s why.
The cabbie thought GC would give him a hefty tip. Unfortunately, GC was the very definition of stingy and even asked for the change (a measly P10) back. The driver was disappointed and made it a point to tell everyone about the encounter. Who knew GC was Madame Curie reincarnated?
Curie-pot!
On the verge
From the Inquirer Radio program “Inquirer Entertainment” (dzIQ 990 AM, Monday to Friday, 3 to 5 p.m.):
Handsome Hottie is on the brink of disaster. HH just broke up with Martyr Wife after a tumultuous time together and he is crestfallen.
On the set of his current project, HH is often distracted, staring into empty space. His worried friends pray that HH will not turn to his old, nasty habits just to escape from his woes.
It would be such a pity because HH is one of the more talented actors in the biz.
Mellow yellow
From the Inquirer tabloid Bandera:
Fiery Star is said to have mellowed with age.
FS is just as famous for her acting skills as for her temper tantrums.
These days, however, FS is no longer as fussy on the set. Where she would have screamed out a litany of expletives, FS now utters mere
one-liners: “Food!” or “Water!”
Perhaps she has learned her lesson. Her erratic behavior has resulted in strained relationships and irreparable career setbacks. She has lost projects and friends, the grown-up brat.
Top of the Talk Shows
For those who missed these TV gabfests (and why we are moved, if we are moved):
Sarah Lahbati, asked what she did during her yearlong hiatus from show biz: “I relaxed… I needed that break. All I did was travel with my family.” (Way to go.)
Sarah, asked what she missed about show biz: “I missed acting and working with amazing people, directors and actors who [are also my friends] … In fairness, na-miss ko ’yung puyatan.” (Does anyone really… miss puyatan?)
Sarah on her relationship with Richard Gutierrez: “We’re happy right now and we’re taking each day one step at a time.” (Is there a book of these clichéd answers?)
Liza Diño on her engagement to girlfriend Aiza Seguerra: “Looking at the ring reminds me that, from now on, I’m going to be with Aiza. I’m just so happy; it’s beyond words.” (We can see that.)
Aiza on telling her parents about the engagement: “Akala ko magkakaroon sila ng violent reaction, so medyo hesitant din ako to tell them. Pero… when I told them, ang tanong lang nila sa ’kin, ‘Handa ka na ba?’”(Your folks should write a book on how to parent a gay child.)
Aiza on planning the wedding: “’Di ako makatulog! I’m so excited. Kapag may down time ako sa taping, [I research on] venues, etc. Then I share it with her (Liza).” (Enjoy the planning; it’s half the fun.)
Don Pepot on rumors that he was dead: “Kung sino man ang nakapagbalita na ako’y matagal nang namatay… mag-isip-isip ka muna bago ka magbalita … Buhay na buhay ako.” (Someone was being an idiot, and it wasn’t Don Pepot.)
Carla Abellana, asked if she was ready to settle down with boyfriend Geoff Eigenmann: “Lahat naman tayo na pumapasok sa relationship, ’yun ang goal. Gagawin ang lahat para doon
mauwi.” (See? There’s gotta be a guidebook to these answers!)
Carla, asked about her dream wedding: “Basta sa simbahan!” (That sounds more spontaneous.)
James Yap, asked if he was planning to marry girlfriend Michela Cazzola soon: “Hinay-hinay lang… ang pagpapakasal naman andiyan lang ’yan. Ang mahalaga, [handa ka] para pagpasok mo diyan … Wala kang pagsisihan … Based on my experience, ah!” (You’re entertaining thoughts of marriage even after your… experience?)
James on ex-wife Kris Aquino defending him from match-fixing allegations: “Thank you sa kanya … Na-appreciate ko.” (Let’s see how long this ceasefire lasts.)
James, asked about his birthday message to Kris: “’Yun lang siguro, ‘Happy Birthday’ … Sana wala nang gulo na dumating sa buhay namin… Sana maging OK na lahat.” (For all our sakes, sana nga.)
Lucy Torrez-Gomez on what keeps her relationship with Richard Gomez strong: “Dapat para kayong matalik na magkaibigan. Wala kaming tinatago sa isa’t isa. Lahat napag-uusapan namin.” (Well, that takes practice.)
Regine Velasquez, missing her late father Mang Gerry: “Nung nag-sound check kami for ‘Voices of Love,’ it dawned on me na wala na talaga si Papa kasi usually, sound check pa lang, nakakalat na ’yan, eh.” (And this one will take some getting used to.)
Regine on feeling Mang Gerry’s presence: “He was not physically at the concert but I know he was there, watching. He had the best seat in the house, too. He’s in heaven and I hope he’s proud of me.” (Why/how should that change now?)
Batangas Gov. Vilma Santos on her son, Luis Manzano, reuniting with Angel Locsin: “I’m happy… if it’s meant at as long as I know na maligaya ang anak ko.” (Hard to tell; we never saw him not happy. Lucky nga kasi.)
Luis on the real score between him and Angel: “I’m proudly her boyfriend.” (See?)
Luis, asked if he was the reason behind Angel’s breakup with Phil Younghusband: “No. Hell, no.” (Yes, we know.)
Luis, asked if Angel was the reason behind his breakup with Jennylyn Mercado: “Jen and I know the real reason we broke up. Our family and our close friends know … Angel was not a factor.” (Angel nga, ’no?)
