Rica Peralejo remains healthy and active after giving birth

MANILA, Philippines — Rica Peralejo, who gave birth to first-born Philip Nathaniel Peralejo Bonifacio on Friday, had a “light and fairly easy pregnancy,” her husband told the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Sunday.

“It would be more accurate to call her blessed,” Rica’s hubby Joseph Bonifacio said in a text message. “She stayed healthy and stayed active the entire time, even during the early part of labor.”

Rica delivered baby Philip Nathaniel via Caesarian section, 2 p.m., on Friday at the St. Luke’s Global City in Taguig City.

“He is a big baby! He was seven pounds and 11 ounces at birth,” Joseph shared.

Rica, 32, or Regina Carla Peralejo in real life, tied the knot with Joseph, a Born-Again Christian pastor, in January 2010.

“Welcome Philip Bo. Tata can’t express how he feels right now other than I love you so much even though you have done nothing and a hundred other thoughts that are all just good,” Joseph posted on his Instagram account on Friday. “You’re God’s gift to us.”
