MANILA, Philippines—While on vacation in London, on Monday (Manila time) night the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino announced that she has renewed her contract with ABS-CBN ending speculations that she will be transferring to rival networks.
Aquino made the confirmation of her contract renewal in her Instagram account.
She said her contract was renewed after her manager Deo Endrinal’s continued negotiations with the ABS-CBN management while she was in London with her two sons.
She posted the following message on her Instagram account:
“My manager Deo Endrinal continued talks w/ our ABS bosses during the Christmas break & it is w/ much joy that I share w/ you that we have RENEWED my ABSCBN contract. I am grateful to my ABS CBN bosses, Sir Gabby, Ma’am Charo, and tita Cory for the trust, value & importance they have given me,” she said.
The President’s sister also clarified she never met with officials of rival network GMA7 but admitted she met with TV5 executive Manny V. Pangilinan.
While she admitted she had her ups and downs during her 18-year stay in ABS-CBN, she said she still remains a ‘Kapamilya’, a label attached to the network meaning family member.
“I have been w/ ABSCBN for 18 years & like any other family we’ve had our ups & downs and sometimes unavoidable “tampuhan”- but we remain FAMILY,” she said in her social media account.
Aquino thanked the ABS-CBN executives for another contract.
She also thanked the Kapamilya viewers for supporting her and making her a part of their daily viewing.
