MANILA, Philippines — Amid impending rain, the 39th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) kicked off on Sunday afternoon at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.

Supporters of films participating in the festival flocked to see the floats, as well as their favorite stars.

Among the films featured in the MMFF are “10,000 hours,” “Pedro Calungsod,” “Girl Boy Bakla Tomboy,” “Pagapag,” “Kimmy Dora, Ang Kiyemeng Prequel,” “My Little Bossings,” “Boy Golden,” and “Kaleidoscope World.”

Among the most applauded was the float of “My Little Bossings” carrying Vic Sotto, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Kris Aquino and her son Bimby.
