We asked the stars: Why should we celebrate Christmas this year after a string of disasters?

We cannot recover from the tragedies without hope. That’s the message of Christmas to us this year—that Filipinos should unite and help each other. Let us be hopeful and encourage the victims to become hopeful as well. This is possible by celebrating Jesus’ birth. For my family, Christmas this year will be simple, quiet and more intimate. The recent disasters made us more grateful for what we have—that we’re together and healthy.
