LAV DIAZ’S “Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan” made it to Sight & Sound’s Top 10 films of 2013.

“Norte” tied with another Cannes Un Certain Regard entry this year, Alain Guiraudie’s “Stranger by the Lake,” on November 9.
Kong Rithdee hailed “Norte” as “dense like literature and deeply rooted in the cave of cinema … (it) gives us the best and the worst of humanity.”
Joshua Oppenheimer’s “The Act of Killing” topped the list, while Alfonso Cuaron’s “Gravity” came in second. Abdellatif Kechiche’s Cannes winner “Blue is the Warmest Color” was in third place. Bayani San Diego Jr.
