There’s a lot of buzz that success has gone to Young Diva’s pretty little head. Peers say YD is arrogant and difficult to work with.

Veteran Performer saw YD from a distance in the hallway of a studio. A mole told Rushes that VP let out a certain expletive, a politically incorrect term that rhymes with witch. Like so: “Here comes the …” Right.

Is VP just jealous because YD has attained international fame, which continues to elude VP? Then again, insiders swear YD is flighty and feisty, a deadly combination.

FEATURED STORIES

Deal breaker

Hunky Heartthrob was very vocal about courting Sweet Star. HH somehow got SS’ cell phone number and they began texting back and forth.

But SS got turned off when their budding friendship was written about in chismis columns.

SS suspects that HH blabbed about it – a certified deal breaker. She swiftly filed him under “Macintosh” friends: “User friendly.”

Gay Businessman hired Aging Hunk as endorser for a company – for reasons other than the star’s assumed popularity among consumers. GB was smitten.

According to the grapevine, GB succeeded in his less-than-noble pursuit and scored a touchdown with AH.

Same goes with Gay Entrepreneur, who hired Senior Hunk as model for one of his ventures.

GE and SH’s “working” relationship is one of the more enduring ones in the biz, it seems.

Cinema vérité

Oftentimes, truth is really stranger than fiction.

In a public gathering, High-Profile Artist was overheard mouthing off pretentious lines from a recent movie.

The film was precisely a parody of the perceived pompous ways of HA and other colleagues. By coincidence, the Stunned Staffer of the movie was around and within earshot of HA.

A witness, along with SS, realized that the make-believe lines hit the mark and weren’t that far from reality.

ROCCO Nacino

Controversial Star wanted to save a little money from a recent purchase of a prime piece of property. CS wrote the company’s bosses, asking for a discount.

The execs felt cornered – and we don’t blame them. CS is very influential and not known to think twice about flaunting it. They had no choice but to give in.

Top of the Talk Shows

For those who missed last weekend’s TV gabfests  (And why we are moved, if we are moved):

Nora Aunor on the issue that hurts her most: “Ang kantiin nila ’yung personal na buhay ko pati ’yung mga nangyari noon gaya ng droga… ’di ko naman ’yun ikinakaila, pero tapos na ’yun.” (Well, it’s part of her very intriguing backstory.)

Gabby Concepcion on why he picked Pokwang as his date for the Star Magic Ball: “Special, eh. Gusto ko, eh. Matagal ko nang gusto!” (Uuuyyy.)

Pokwang on Gabby: “Wala si Mega, kaya ang ka-date niya (Gabby C), si Megatron.” (Cute!)

Five months pregnant Kristine Hermosa, asked about her cravings: “Wala, wala akong cravings… I go to the gym!” (Huh?)

Jake Cuenca on why his love life has been quiet of late: “Focused sa trabaho at maraming magagandang roles na dumarating. I’m single. I’m taking things slow.” (Fine.)

Matt Evans on escorting Melissa Ricks to the Star Magic Ball: “Pinag-usapan talaga namin ’to. Na-miss namin ang isa’t isa.” (Speechless kami.)

Denise Laurel on holding her baby for the first time: “Ganito pala ang tunay na pag-ibig. I was just in awe, very overwhelmed… When I held him in my arms, the world stood still; everything was perfect.”

KC Concepcion on her relationship with Piolo Pascual: “Tinatanggap ko siya nang buong-buo at iniintindi ko siya nang buong-buo kasi importante na kapag nag-commit ka sa relasyon, hindi mo siya iiwan sa ere … Andito ako para hawakan ang kamay mo. Magiging patient and understanding ako hanggang kaya ko.” (’Di ba break na sila? What’s the deal na naman?)

KC on receiving jewelry from Piolo after their tampuhan: “Ang sarap din pala nang meron kaming mga ganitong moments kasi nagkakaroon ako ng mga gifts!”

Charlene Gonzalez on loving: “No one’s perfect, but we can love imperfect persons perfectly.” (Hmm.)

Rocco Nacino, asked if he considers love a career distraction: “Hindi distraction ’yan. May mga tao na gustong may love life para inspired sila at magkaroon ng direksyon ’yung career at buhay nila. ’Yung ibang tao lalong gumaganda ang performance sa trabaho. I’m one of them.” (Good for you.)

Rufa Mae Quinto on the possibility of a romantic relationship with Boy2 Quizon: “Single ako; single din naman siya, so walang masama, ’di ba? Pero masyado pang maaga. Wala munang ganun-ganun na rela-relasyon!” (Fine.)
