Overcoming fear
A physical therapist recently shared that she began treating a woman suffering from a “frozen” shoulder for five years. It caused a lot of pain and discomfort. What made the woman seek treatment? She admitted, “My husband got angry and forced me to finally see a doctor.”
A friend was suffering from high blood pressure for years, but refused to take medications. Recently, she had a stroke and passed away.
In Vedic literature, it is said that the human being has four tendencies—one of which is the tendency to cheat himself and others. We sometimes hide from the truth by skipping our medications, eating what’s forbidden, etc. Some words of wisdom to help us overcome and deal with cheating:
“The truth shall set you free—from illusions, obsessions, anger and fear. If you learn the truth now, you won’t suffer from repeated foolishness.”
“Knowing the problem sets you on the path of finding a solution for it.”
