Filipino producer wins antipiracy award

Filipino indie producer Joji Alonso is this year’s recipient of the Asia-Pacific Copyright Educator (ACE) Award given by the Motion Picture Association (MPA, the international counterpart of the Motion Picture Association of America). Michael C. Ellis, president of MPA Asia Pacific, called Alonso a “passionate and committed leader.” The ACE Award will be presented at the CineAsia, to be held on Dec. 12 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center.
