In celebration of Philippine Design Week, the LRI Design Plaza joins hands with Citem and Grupo Reposo in presenting “Nimbus City,” an art exhibit by Japanese artist Wataru Sakuma and Filipino sculptor Jinggoy Buensuceso, until Oct. 22 at LRI, 210 Nicanor Garcia st., Bel-Air II, Makati City.
“Nimbus City” reflects the artists’ shared experiences living and working in the hills of Tagaytay.
A multiple winner of Manila FAME’s Katha awards and accomplished furniture designer, Sakuma used recycled pulp paper in lieu of canvas and paint.
Buensuceso is acclaimed for transforming metal into a pliant art medium, as his “Doodle” furniture collection demonstrates.
On Oct. 25-22, visit LRI’s art exhibit, “Artmoves,” featuring more than 80 artworks by Evie Roque, Kuh Ledesma, Monchot Ongsiako, Roland Santos, Katrina Pallon, Jethro Jocson, Vinson Yap, and my collaboration with Bobby Nuestro.
