Mitoy Yonting wins ‘The Voice of the Philippines’
MANILA, Philippines — Mitoy Yonting was declared winner of the first season of the ABS-CBN talent search “The Voice of the Philippines” Sunday night, beating Klarisse de Guzman, Myk Perez and Janice Javier in a star-studded finale which was aired live from the Newport Performing Arts Theater in ResortsWorld Manila, Pasay City.
Mitoy, 43, was coached by multi-awarded Broadway star Lea Salonga.
He won a cash prize of P2 million, an Asian tour package for two, a new car, and a four-year recording contract with MCA Universal. Don Lejano
