‘Otso’ screening at Inquirer
After its premiere at the Sineng Pambansa All Masters’ Edition, Elwood Perez’s comeback film “Otso” will have a special screening at the Philippine Daily Inquirer office Tuesday evening. “Otso” was dubbed the fest’s sleeper hit— after placing second at the tills (next to Joel Lamangan’s “Lihis”) and provoking much debate and discussion from local critics and cineastes alike. Producer and scriptwriter Raymond Lee enthused: “The attitude, the elegance and seeming effortlessness, the chutzpah, the comeback.”
Perez is the director behind 1980s movies “Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit,” “Ibulong Mo sa Diyos” and “Silip.”
