‘Norte’ gets US distribution

Lav Diaz’s “Norte, Hangganan ng Kasaysayan” has sealed a distribution deal with the Cinema Guild, based in New York City.

The Cinema Guild is a distributor of independent, foreign and docu films, founded by Philip and Mary-Ann Hobel, producers of Oscar winner “Tender Mercies.”

“Norte” will be released theatrically in the United States in 2014. Bayani San Diego Jr.
