Rihanna poses with protected primate in Thailand

BANGKOK — Pop star Rihanna has left behind a trail of racy tweets and an incriminating Instagram photograph from a Thailand trip that led police to arrest two men for peddling protected primates.

On a break from her Diamonds World Tour, Rihanna stopped in Thailand to visit the island of Phuket, where she befriended some local wildlife.

She posted a link on Twitter to an Instagram photo showing her snuggling up to a furry primate called the slow loris, and tweeted Friday: “Look who was talkin dirty to me!”

The slow loris, native to Southeast Asia, is listed as a protected species.

A Phuket official said Sunday the picture led police to arrest two people Saturday. They could face up to four years in prison if charged with possession of protected animals.
